First, our friends at Lark Crafts are being super generous and giving away the whole Stash Happy collection! That is a trio of lovely books, perfect for using up your stash and creating super fun projects.

The winner will receive the following 3 books courtesy of Lark Crafts:

- Stash Happy: Felt by Amanda Carestio
And to sweeten the pot (and your stash!), we're throwing in some fabric and felt!
The winner will receive an assortment of large fabric scraps, ranging from roughly 5 x 10 inches to a few full fat quarters, lovingly cut from our stash! They are perfect to make many of the Stash Happy projects and include prints from the Echo collection by Lotta Landsdotter, Quilt Blocks by Ellen Luckett Baker, some Botanika, some Denyse Schmidt and more (also 2 small scraps of Kokka linen robots -- too cute not to include!).

I use my scraps to make potholders, I also send them to my mom who makes cards, me journal books, and flowers for the granddaughters, use scraps for banners, tying up plants, bird nest, applique, What I want to do for Xmas I just saw, is ornaments for the tree, with Modge podge, The sweetest thing I do is play with my granddaughters in it, I throw them in the basket because they are 1 and they play in it..

First of all, I loooove Quilt Blocks by ELB. Second, I'm currently de-stashing using a block I designed called "Square Knot". Mm... cutting down my scraps, working through fq's that need to be used! Yah!

ReplyDeleteI keep my scraps in a basket and I like to just sew them together in crazy quilt fashion, then I cut out shapes and make little stuffed kitties and other animals with them. Great bowl fillers or little surprises to put into gift packages.

I am a big fan of scrap quilts and make lots of them. It uses up some scraps but also generates some new ones! Right now I'm making a baby quilt with 4 inch squares cut from a coordinated FQ pack, a solid white background and lots and lots of 1 inch squares cut from scraps. It's turning out really cute.

Oh my gosh! I was getting so excited just reading about this giveaway! I am not a patient person and love projects that are a bit quicker so working with scraps is so perfect for me. For Mother's Day I made sachets out of a bunch of scraps and just sewed bits and pieces and used my free motion sewing to add names and flowers. It was super fun and super cute! :)

Great giveaway. I think one of my favourite uses of scraps is to use them in a spider web block, I love how they look.

ReplyDeleteI use scraps for Barbie and doll blankets for my niece. It is a wonderfully quick project that I can do in little time and I know the recipient will love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm really working to use up stash and scraps right now, since I will be moving next year. Lots of quilts going on, lots of table runners and zip bags, too! I've been scouting out patterns to try and make a dent in my scraps, but there are so many fabulous scrappy ideas I've yet to settle on one! Bees are a great way to use scraps, too! Love love scraps! And love love fabric!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the Stash Happy books... so far, I'm a loser when it comes to using up my scraps! I keep a bin for my kids and they know it's a free for all to make whatever projects they come up with.
