WIP: Valentine Burlap Art

By-Jenny2

Both kids are napping (someone pinch me!) and inspiration suddenly struck me to make some burlap art pieces for my shop for Valentine's Day. Here are my works in progress.

"Put a bird on it!", I know, I know. But they're love birds, get it?

What are you working on today? Happy Tuesday!

  1. I made a few pieces on burlap with appliqué, found it a bit tough to sew on, but still fun and different. I also like the fact that I can do cross stitch words on the background, to add to it. I think the birds are a nice subject for burlap. I worked on a hooked rug today.

    1. Oh a hooked rug, fun! That's something I'd like to try some day. Thank you for the kind comment, Debbie. :)

  2. Jenny, I love it! As always, your modern twist on a traditional theme (along with fabulous fabric choices) really makes these special and unique.

    1. Thanks Angel! Do you recognize the green on white fabric in the bottom photo? That's a beautiful fat quarter you gave me a while back, I love it so much!
