  166. For my son's second birthday, I sewed him a green and orange dinosaur tail. I wasn't sure if he'd really "get" it, but after we put it on him, he chased my husband around the dining room giggling hysterically. It was such a happy moment.

  167. When my daughter turned 1 I knit her a "socktopus" with a different colored yarn "sock" at the end of each leg. I made them each out of yarn leftover from a pair of longies or sweater I had knit her in her first year. She loves the toy and I like having memories of all the things I made for her that no longer fit!

  172. What a fantabulous giveaway! How fun to get to shop at FQS for FREEEE! :)

My favorite handmade that I've received was quite a few years ago from a dear friend. We have never met, but started as penpals over twenty years ago. We have been through everything with each other. One year for Christmas she sent me a box FULL of gorgeous Christams ornaments that she had cross stitched for me. OH.MY.GOSH. I have to say that it was my best gift EVER. Every year when I put each of those ornaments on my tree, I think of her. We now exchange a handmade ornament with each other every year. We've done this for a long time now. Needless to say, my tree is lovely, filled with all that handmade goodness.

Thank you for the chance! :0)
