OK, it's getting down to the wire people! I'm writing this with 13 days to go until Christmas, the time is coming when it will be too late to place any online orders. With that in mind, I thought I'd show you some of my favorite last minute gift ideas from our Sponsors. These are all things I'd love to give and receive myself!
Know someone that's always wanted to learn to wet felt? Or maybe you need to make some last minute gifts. Check out this Peace Fleece Felt Ball kit from A Child's Dream Come True, enough supplies to make many felted wool balls! There are endless variations and uses, and the colors of the included roving are gorgeous. You can add a jingle bell to the center for the perfect first ball for a baby in your life, make smaller jingle balls for cats and cat lovers. You could also use the method and materials from the kit to make the awesome felted geodes I posted about a few days ago (from a tutorial from Living Crafts blog).
These hand-printed tea towels are printed with non toxic inks on natural fabric. Inspired by sketchbook pages, this set of two tea towels from Drygoods Design would be the perfect gift for almost anyone on your list. (Other designs available, look here!)
Sign up your favorite sew-ist for one of Fat Quarter Shops' Fat Quarter Clubs! Lots of fun options to choose from, you're sure to find something that would be perfect for that special someone on your list. Wouldn't it be fun to receive a new bundle of fabric every month?
I'd love to wake up to this Little Apples Charm Pack by Aneela Hoey, over at Fashionable Fabrics. The colors and prints are fresh, modern and beautiful. Perfect for a quilt like Jenny's Charming Baby Quilt!
If you hurry, you can order this Forest Gnomes kit from A Child's Dream Come True in time to whip up a whole family of Forest Gnomes, with poseable bodies! The little nut cradle is even included. All natural materials including Holland Wool Felt, one of my favorite felts to work with. Or give this kit to someone that might want to make this gnome family for their own kids, or for themselves. Perfect for ages 12 and up, even beginners will have fun making these sweet dolls.
A pattern (like this Ruthie Clutch by Anna Maria Horner) bundled with a few yards of fabric makes a wonderful gift (I'd probably go for more AMH for this one). Fashionable Fabrics has a great selection of patterns by Stumbles & Stitches favorites like Oliver and S, Betz White and Sew Liberated.
These Patty Young designer pins from Fat Quarter Shop would slip right into someone's stocking, I might ask Santa for some myself! Head over to the sewing notions section and pick out a few more things just perfect for those small, last minute gifts that are so fun to buy.
How about a few yards of fabric from Drygoods Design (isn't this Ikat print to die for?) Check out their $4.99 per yard section (yes, you are reading that right) and their wonderfully curated new fabric section.
And of course, a good old Gift Certificate is always a welcome gift for any crafter, so fun to pick out new supplies that someone else has paid for! A Child's Dream Come True, Fat Quarter Shop, Fashionable Fabrics and Drygoods Design all have gift certificates available, just click the links and you'll go right to their gift certificate page!
