The Sew-Along is almost over. Spring Runners have been submitted and it's now time to vote on your favorite! Let's check out all these beautiful entries!
But wait. Before we move on to this whole voting process, I'd like to acknowledge the awesome work that all the participants did in this sew-along (including the ones who were unable to meet the deadline!). Angel and I have been very impressed with the range of styles, color choices, designs and finished projects. The range of skills was also impressive, with experienced patchworkers mingling with newbie sewists.
Only one person will win the prizes, but (and sorry to be cheesy here, don't barf) I hope you all consider yourselves winners. Seriously, we all got something made for our home and we all enjoyed a wonderful community experience. That in itself is pretty awesome!!
Here are the entries. You can also see them and more photos in the Flickr pool.
1. Carol, Pleasant Quilter
2. Brie, Little Creatable
3. Kari, Moo Said The Mama
4. Lara, Lara's Whim
5. Hannah, Heartbreak Homestead
6. Lisa, My Artful Life
7. Susan, So Sue
8. Clare, Summerfete
9. Lora, A Tactile Experience
11. Emily, I'm Not Actually a Blogger
Aren't they all awesome?
Make sure to click on each photo to head over to Flickr. There, you can read the description and visit the participants' blog if they linked to it. Lots of fun stuff to discover, I promise you!! There are photos of the details and the back of the runners, fun descriptions and great blogs to check out.
Voting is now closed!
Little refresher... The Sew-Along requirements were to make a runner that:
1) Celebrates Spring
2) Is inspired by Rashida's runner in at least one way: the pattern, the linen, the zigzag, the tricolor theme, or the vintage fabric.
The winner will receive the book I Love Patchwork as well as some cuts of Rashida Coleman-Hale's new fabric line, both courtesy of the lovely Rashida. The winner will also get a scrap pack from Hawthorne Threads, whom we'd like to welcome as a new partner!
